I was ironing my work clothes, and I got frustrated. Ironing isn’t exactly on my ‘favourite things to do’ list, so ironing a cotton abaya brought the worst of me. I was complaining, non-stop.

Why is it so hard for us to be thankful for all that we have in this dunya? Why is it so hard for us to express our gratitude? Why is it so hard for us to admit, to ponder, on Allah’s greatness?

I have received a lot of questions; can we do this, can we do that, why should we do this and why shouldn’t we. This is the time of fitna, in which everyone claims to be upon the truth.
