In the world we live, when credit and loans are so easily available…one no longer needs to trail the streets to be amongst those who ask without need. It is tantalisingly simple to obtain a loan, a few clicks of buttons and money that we don’t truly need, is filling our bank accounts. We bask in the luxury, not reflecting upon the consequences of our actions.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. I am indeed talking about the issue of Isbaal; that is wearing clothes that come down below the ankles, for men. I say for men, because women should be covering their feet.
Cartoons have invaded our homes. Literally. The lamp shade is covered in toy story. The walls have cars stickers. The bed is pink with all the princesses on the headboard. The stationery all have the face of the latest cartoon character neatly printed on it.
It is very easy to get angered, annoyed or even heated when you know what you are saying is right. Even more so when the opposing side, is seemingly wearing blinkers and cannot take a step back to view ‘the bigger picture.’
How did the prophet (peace be upon him) deal with arguments? Did he raise his voice? Or argue until the other person was disconcerted or had no choice but to remain silent?
There is something my mother has always said, “I love my children equally,” it may seem controversial, or impossible, but my mother has never shown affection or given one of us more than the other.
“Oh no…I don’t do that! I would never do that! How could I ever?!”
Perhaps this is your immediate reaction, you would never forsake another muslim. But be true to yourself. Are you sure?
